An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multi-disciplinary team as a Forensic Social Worker for our two low secure services. Alderley Unit is a 10-bed male Low Secure Learning Disability & Autism unit, and Saddlebridge Recovery Centre is a 15-bed male Low Secure Mental Health unit. Both units are part of the North West network of secure services, as well as being members of the national Quality Network for Forensic Mental Health Services, with a recent peer review including positive feedback from staff/carers/service users about the care provided. You would be working within a well-represented multi-disciplinary team including specialist professionals. The role is varied and would suit an individual looking for an exciting new challenge!
Both units are based on the same site in the beautiful surroundings of Nether Alderley, close to Alderley Edge. With good road links to Manchester, Stockport and Stoke, the site also offers free parking for staff.
The successful candidate will have experience in working within Mental Health and/or Learning Disability and Autism services; working within a multi-disciplinary team along with evidence of partnership working; and developing links with other organisations both inside and outside of the NHS.
To provide statutory social care functions and a social work service to the patients within the low secure services.

To act in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and protocols, and professional code of conduct maintaining effective links with the Local Authority to effectively lead the safeguarding process.
The individual will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of working with Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism service users with complex and challenging needs. We are looking for a dynamic, driven individual who shows a real passion for supporting these service users.
CWP provide full access to clinical and managerial supervision which will assist you in developing your professional development plan. To be successful in this role you will need to be committed to Personal Learning and Development, Evidence and Values Based Practice and Patient Centred Care.
