We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist with managerial and clinical experience to join our Neuropsychology Service. The post involves working with adults who have experienced a stroke in the Medway Towns (Chatham Rochester, Gillingham). The clinical work is undertaken mostly in clinic settings although some home visits, travel to care homes and the local community stroke rehabilitation setting will be required. The post holder will also provide line management and clinical supervision to other staff within the service and work closely with the neuropsychology senior management team to deliver high-quality and responsive services within Kent. As a service, we actively pursue opportunities to contribute to relevant neuropsychology projects and collaborations regionally and nationally and offer opportunities to develop special interests and expertise.


The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2.


The Kent Neuropsychology Service provides specialist assessment, rehabilitation and psychological therapy to people with stroke, acquired brain injury and long-term neurological conditions across Kent.

The post holder will provide highly specialist neuropsychological assessment and treatment of adults with stroke referred to the Kent Neuropsychology Service,

The post holder will work closely with the Medway Stroke Team who are positive and supportive of Neuropsychology .

The post holder will formulate and implement plans of specialist neuropsychological treatment of stroke based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.

Undertake a range of psychological therapeutic interventions, drawing on a range of psychological models

Be responsible for providing a specialist neuropsychological perspective into the multi-disciplinary assessment of adults with stroke and their families.

Work as a member of Kent Neuropsychology Service

Be responsible for clinical supervision and professional management of other Psychology Staff.
