Overview
NHS Lanarkshire is looking for two new Non-Executive board members to join us, specifically, a Clinical Board Member and also a General Board member.
We work to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Lanarkshire and to deliver high quality, person-centred care, through a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute and psychiatric hospital services to provide access to the right care, in the right place, at the right time. The role of the Non-Executive Board Member in supporting this endeavour is critical. Working in partnership with our stakeholders, the role presents many opportunities to engage and work with a wide range of people to improve the health of the population we serve.
We are keen to build on the existing strong and focused team and know that diversity within our Board membership and staff builds a vibrant, creative culture which is better able to respond to our challenges, and the needs of the population. As a non-executive member, you will be expected to make a full contribution to the work of the Board, including participation in its governance committees and the Integrated Joint Boards.
We welcome applications from people who are passionate about public service and our health and social care system, who can bring their skills and diverse perspectives to our work for the benefit of our Board and our wider community, and who meet the requirements of the roles as set out in the person specification. To make the board of NHS Lanarkshire as effective as possible, it is important that it is comprised of a diverse range of people. For this appointment round, the board would encourage women and applicants with a disability to apply. All appointments will be made on merit, based on the performance of the applicant during the appointment process.
