We are looking to recruit Registered Nurses and/or Operating Department Practitioners with a focus on Anaesthetics and Recovery. This is a seven-day service with a range of flexible working patterns including evenings and weekends.
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Theatre team, developing excellent working relationships with staff members, consultants and key stakeholders. They will assist in driving sustainable excellence in the safety and quality of care and services. They will support the Quality agenda by monitoring achievements against required standards, identifying risks to quality of care and services and planning, recommending /implementing changes for continuous improvement
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work with the Departmental Manager and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of care and staff development, as part of the theatre team.
In addition he/she will provide specialist care and/or support and deputise for the Team Leader/Clinical Coordinator in the management of the clinical area. This will involve dealing with complex situations and having to take appropriate action in emergency or unforeseen situations.
The post holder should be flexible in approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified.
