An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team, working part time, as a housekeeper within the Burns Service at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. The post is split between the inpatient Burns Unit ( 23hrs per week) and the outpatient Burns and Plastics Aftercare Clinic ( 7.5hrs per week). The Burns Service provides care for children / babies aged 0-16 years and their families admitted with thermal injuries or other general medical and surgical conditions

The successful candidate will work as part of the multi-professional team in maintaining a clean, organised, safe, comfortable environment for patients and their families.

The main elements of the role include catering responsibilities, assisting with drinking/feeding if required, cleaning, ordering of stores, stocking up, minor equipment maintenance and other jobs as requested by the nurse in charge, whilst maintaining privacy and dignity for families at all times.

The role is to enhance the patient/family experience whilst supporting the nursing team.
