The Post
Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS), a Strategic Business Unit within NSS, plays a vital role not only in the health of the people of Scotland but also on an international scale through our leading position in manufacturing, product development, biomedical research and donor services. Our goal is to maintain the highest standards of donor and patient care whilst remaining internationally competitive.
In support of this, the SNBTS Procurement department, reporting to National Procurement (NP) and based at the Headquarters of SNBTS, provides a comprehensive range of procurement and stores support services to SNBTS operations, including an onward distribution service to NHSS Pharmacies of finished plasma products.
An opportunity has now arisen within the Procurement Department for a Storekeeper to join the team at their store in the Aberdeen Donor Centre within Forrester Hill Campus. The post holder will have a key role as sole onsite storekeeper to provide a high-quality storekeeping service to the SNBTS Aberdeen Donor Centre.
Covering all duties required of a storekeeper whilst working within the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). These will Include receipting, picking and issuing of stock, Stock checks, filling out documentation timeously and correctly. Loading and unloading of vehicles, use of the electronic stock management system. Keeping the warehouse and associated areas clean and tidy.

You will be a reliable team player, motivated and can work well on your own. You will be able to demonstrate relevant experience ideally within a storekeeping/warehouse department of a multi-functional organisation.
Any candidates who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Location and Working Pattern:
It is part time consisting of 19.73 hours worked flexibly over 5 days Monday Friday (Hours to be discussed with hiring manager).
Aberdeen Donor Centre within Forrester Hill Campus
Work pattern - Monday to Friday , 19.73 hours ( equates to 19 hours 44 minutes per week)
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
