Vetro Housing are excited to be actively recruiting for support workers that have experience of working with young people within various supported accommodation services throughout Cardiff and the surrounding areas. If you have a genuine passion for supporting young people 16 years to 21 years then this could be the perfect role for you!
This is a challenging and demanding role but one that is an extremely rewarding one for the right person. You will be supporting young people who have complex needs and that have suffered from a variety of adverse childhood experiences that include but are not limited to trauma, PTSD or has faced other difficulties within their short lives. You will play an integral part in ensuring you build resilience to confidently allow young persons to go forward to achieve their outcomes and manage a tenancy independently.

- Title: Support Worker
- Hours: Full time and Part time hours available
- Shift Pattern: 8pm - 8am
- Salary: £12.82-£25.64 (including holiday pay)
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Demonstrable experience of working with young people in an accommodation setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships
- A strong understanding and practical knowledge relating to issues that typically disrupt progress in journeys towards independence. E.g. mental health, substance use, self-harm, domestic violence, anger management etc
- Demonstrable skills in developing and delivering group work facilitation
