We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Psychologist to work within Cheshire ADHD & Autism Diagnostic team.

Are you interested in working with CYP who are neuro-diverse /mental health difficulties and/or Intellectual Disabilities. Do you have the passion and drive to begin your career in the neurodiversity field, where you will support these young people to improve their daily functioning. We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, compassion, and optimism for CYP to live good quality lives in their own communities.

The successful candidate will be provided with robust professional and clinical supervision frameworks and multiple opportunities to develop their clinical and professional skills through an enhanced CPD structure.

The post holder will assist in all work leading to an improved patient journey for our young people, and their families such as clinically related administration, conduct of audits and outcome measures, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

The post holder will be working with children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism who present with behaviours that challenge and mental health challenges. You will be working as part of the the ADHD & Autism team, a group of professionals from a diverse professional background, such as consultants, SALTS, specialist nurses and so on. We are dedicated to reducing wait times and improving patient journey.

The post holder will offer advice and support to families of children with learning disabilities and/or autism and work alongside all partner agencies, this may be within a variety of settings and may require the post holder to travel.

To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Working with children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.

The post holder will assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits and outcome measures, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
