Outpatients Booking Clerk

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 16 weeks (until 30th September 2024)

Office Location: Brighton

Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week) preferred; Part-Time (minimum of 30 hours) may be considered

Days: Monday to Friday (on-site only)



Pay - £11.44 per hour



Responsibilities


  • Data Input: The Outpatients Booking Clerk will be responsible for accurately inputting incoming referrals into the Trust's system.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule outpatient appointments efficiently.
  • Communication: Interact with patients, health care professionals, and administrative staff to ensure smooth booking processes.
  • Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling.
  • Adhere to Policies: Follow established protocols and guidelines for appointment booking and data management.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Attention to Detail: Precise data entry skills are essential.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and appointments effectively.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using relevant software and databases.
  • Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.
  • Confidentiality: Handle patient information with discretion.


Requirements:


  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Availability: Must be available to work on-site during weekdays.
