This is an interesting and varied role working within our multi-disciplinary teams. This is a generic post covering several teams.
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Administrator to join our South and West cluster within Exeter. This role supports the Therapy and Nursing teams meaning you may be requested to work from various sites across the city. It is an interesting, varied role working in a busy environment. You will also be asked to support Business Support as a central contact in the office.
The ideal candidate will be approachable, friendly and extremely organised due to the variety of the role. The applicant will require excellent communication skills since they will speak / email on a daily basis across a wide range of staff, patients and departments within the NHS and DCC. Accuracy, strong prioritising and problem-solving skills along with empathy when dealing with patient phones calls are required.
We are looking for a team player who is not afraid of hard work and will ensure deliveries are unpacked in a timely manner to ensure clinical staff do not run out of stores. Nursing have a considerable number of stores. We need a go ahead, proactive individual who is keen to help others and not afraid of change which is constant in the NHS environment.
The post holder will need to have a sound knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel. They will work closely with both various teams and Managers to ensure the needs of the service are met from an administrative focus. You will be able to work both independently and as part of the wider Community Admin team. Previous experience of working within an Administrative role is preferred. There is opportunity to develop this role and set up processes as best practice to improve the working environment for all the teams. Training is provided as is career progression supported.
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday currently but may be some weekend working.

- The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
