Disclosure and Barring Service:

On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

Bank Hygiene Specialist Team - Band 2

An exciting opportunity to join our HST Team.

The HST carryout terminal, deep cleaning as well as general cleaning in clinical and non-clinical areas within WCH and across NCIC trust premises as and when required.

Complying to infection control procedures at all times and following the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness April 2021.


Technical

  • Carry out cleaning duties as per schedule
  • Carry out cleaning duties on wards and departments when instructed to do so
  • Use of specialist cleaning machines
  • Maintain standards in the areas allocated.
  • To work in clinical and non-clinical areas.
  • Commence and complete a specialist clean
  • Undertake work in areas where patients have mental health, special needs or behavioural problems
  • Complete the cleaning of all theatres and specialist equipment out of hours
  • Responsible for the completion of terminal or deep cleans
  • Undertake wall washing, changing curtains, cleaning windows internal and external at low levels.
  • Maintain floor hygiene using specialised electrical equipment and specialised chemicals when necessary.
  • Routinely use specialised cleaning equipment
  • Maintain the hygiene of all street lifts within outer areas.
  • Complete a thorough cleaning and decontamination process on all cleaning equipment after use.
  • Adhere to the Trust's PPE Policy and wear specialised PPE
  • Calculate dilutions of cleaning solutions and fill specialised equipment following COSHH guidance at all times
  • Adhere to the Trust's Waste Policy
  • Carry a radio/phone for contact with the HST team leader .
