The Costing Accountant is a financial expert providing accurate and timely cost information to Divisional colleagues and NHS England in line with local and national costing guidance, standards and timelines.

The role will contribute to the Trust's annual comprehensive National Cost Collection (NCC), submission, which informs a number of work streams including the PLICS portal, the model hospital, getting it right first time (GIRFT) programme and the NHS payments scheme prices.

The post holder will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the Trust's Costing Processes and Costing System, working closely with Information and Divisional Teams, and all other areas of the Finance Department, in order to produce accurate Costing and Service Line Management information for Mandatory Cost Submissions and to inform Trust decision making at all levels.
