To support the practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. The healthcare assistant will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Health Care Assistant to complement our established and experienced team of nurses and HCA. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, can work independently and is passionate about providing excellent patient care.

The post is part time, 16 hours per week.

The candidate will be working strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines and protocols. The HCA will assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.

Duties include

  • Phlebotomy
  • Wound care
  • ECG's
  • B12
  • Removal of sutures and clips
  • Health checks
  • Pre diabetic checks
  • 24 hour ABPM monitoring
