Band 6: £37,338 to £44,962 a year pro rata, per annum  PERMANENT 

The accountability within your role is in line with the Nursing and Midwifery council (NMC) code, which says that you must work together for the safeguarding and wellbeing of the public.

You will supervise, educate, train and develop the workforce for whom you are responsible for.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the standards of care delivered within your area of care.

To act as an advocate for patients to ensure the highest levels of care are delivered.

Safeguard the delivery of high standards of care

You will deputise for the Sister/Charge Nurse/Team Leader to cover the management of the ward or clinical unit in their absence as and when required.

In conjunction with the Sister/Charge Nurse/Team Leader provide effective clinical leadership and be responsible for the delivery of high standards of nursing care to all patients.

You will also be responsible for the clinical standards of care delivered within the service area and responsible for leading and managing the ward team and accountable (in the absence of the Sister) for the service areas financial budget.
