We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Staff Nurse to join our Urology Pre- Assessment Clinic at Westmoreland Street. You will need to be committed to improving patient care and as such have the ability to work autonomously, have excellent documentation skills, demonstrate initiative and possess advanced communication and strong organizational skills.
This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly. You will be happy to coordinate the clinic after induction, completing competencies and successfully and independently assessing your own patient list. You will support Triage, Fasttrack and clinical pre-op work and be confident to use computer programs such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word, Epic as patient history documentation and Outlook. You will be happy to work from home on a Trust laptop and in clinic at short notice to ensure great clinic flow of patients. You will have the ability to work under pressure to meet patient surgery deadlines and will support other staff with case management as needed.You will be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your clinical knowledge base and skills.
