Job Description
Support Worker – Learning Disabilities / Autism
Rates: £12.00 - £12.44 per hour, part & full-time positions available ( Starting rate £12 per hour, increased after completion mandatory ‘Care Certificate’ qualification in the first three months).

Avicenna Supported Living Limited is a new company dedicated to supporting young people with learning disabilities and Autism to live independent lives. As a small, bespoke service, we are committed to providing the highest quality care and support to our service users. If you want to make a real difference and work in a homely, relaxed atmosphere, we would love to hear from you.
Experience
We prefer candidates with at least 6 months of experience in learning disability support and Positive Behaviour Management. However, we value the right attitude, nature, and values just as much. If you have no experience but are enthusiastic and committed, we will provide full training.
About ASL Services
This is our first supported living service, designed to accommodate up to four service users. The house has been refurbished to a high standard, with each service user having their own room. Shared bathrooms and shower rooms, along with a lovely garden, create a welcoming environment. There is plenty of street parking available, and the property also has its own driveway.
Your Duties As a Support Worker
- Be a good listener and advocate
- Assist with daily living skills and support the learning of new skills
- Plan and implement daily activities
- Support or prompt personal care needs such as showering, toileting, washing, and brushing teeth if needed
- Assist with planning, budgeting, and menu planning
- Provide support with accessing community, leisure activities, and work experience
- Accompany service users to medical and hospital appointments
- Oversee medication management if needed
- Carry out ‘key worker’ responsibilities
