ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asaMaintenance Operativewillbetoensurethe building and grounds are wellmaintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services applying basic fixes to equipment and systemswhilstensuringfacilities are fully functional.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Carryingout all general maintenance tasks and basic repairs includingall electrical, plumbing joinery and building tasks both inside and outside the Home.
  • Supporting new residents to arrange their room as they wish.
  • Ensuringroutine re-decoration is undertaken asrequiredtomaintainthe standards in thehome.
  • Advisingon the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring thetimelyandappropriate orderingof replacement goods.
  • Providing out of hours emergency service, participating in the on-call rota.

  • Have a minimum of one years experience in a general maintenance or handy person role and/or hold a professional qualification in a trade.
  • Hold a full driving licence.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
