The Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Service is seeking to appoint someone with excellent administration skills to come and work as an IPC administration assistant. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team providing an efficient and effective administrative service.

The successful candidate will need to have exceptional organisational skills and be able to work on their own initiative. Computer and keyboard skills are essential, along with knowledge of working with Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, publisher and Outlook.

Will provide an efficient and comprehensive administration support service for the IPC Service; performing all allocated administration tasks required to meet the needs of the service.

Will work as part of the IPC Service supporting the IPC nurses, information analyst and wider IPC services colleagues.

Will maintain a good working relationship between colleagues, internal and external agencies, and patients as appropriate, having good communication skills, a sympathetic manner and the ability to deal with sensitive information.

Will provide a point of contact for enquiries using tact, diplomacy and confidentiality, and deal with, or escalate, each situation accordingly.
