Job Title: Newly Qualified Social Worker - Learning Disabilities

Location: Cardiff

Rate: £22 per hour


Job Purpose


We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Newly Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Cardiff, focusing on individuals with Learning Disabilities (LD). As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in working with individuals and their carers to achieve personal outcomes and enhance their independence and coping skills.


Responsibilities


Person-Centered Support:

Work closely with individuals with Learning Disabilities and their carers to develop and implement person-centered support plans.

Facilitate interventions that promote independence and enhance coping skills.


Compliance And Legislation


Ensure compliance with current legislation and Council policies, procedures, and practices.

Conduct assessments, commission services, and regularly review plans in accordance with legal requirements.


Service Planning


Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and coordinate services tailored to the needs of the client group.

Develop and implement effective strategies to address the unique challenges faced by individuals with Learning Disabilities.


Risk Assessment And Protection


Adhere to statutory guidance and policy/procedural frameworks to identify and protect individuals who are at risk or vulnerable.

Collaborate with relevant agencies to safeguard the well-being of those under your care.


Requirements


Qualifications: Social Work degree and registration with the relevant regulatory body.

Newly Qualified: Candidates who have recently qualified as Social Workers are encouraged to apply.

Learning Disabilities Focus: A strong interest and understanding of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities.
