The OPRA Group has a great opportunity for a Trainee Dental Nurse.

We will fund your Dental Nursing Qualification; this is a nationally recognised qualification leading to Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC). Registration fees, Indemnity cover and Continued Professional Development are also funded. The course can take up to 18 months to complete but can be achieved earlier if you are focused and self-driven. Our focus is to create a structured programme that allows you to continually develop and achieve your career goals in a supportive environment using surgeries and equipment that are to the highest standard to assist in your learning.

This is a Permanent - Full-Time role (4 or 5 days per week) Monday - Friday

Role Duties:

  • Assisting the Dentist: Preparing and passing instruments during dental procedures, ensuring the dentist has what they need.
  • Patient Care: Preparing patients for treatment, explaining procedures, and making them feel comfortable.
  • Sterilization: Cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Record Keeping: Updating patient records, including details of the treatments and procedures performed.
  • Preparation of Materials: Mixing and preparing dental materials, such as fillings and impression materials.
  • Chairside Support: Providing support to the dentist during procedures, including suctioning and ensuring the patient's comfort.
