Applications are invited for the post of Senior Data Officer based in the NIHR/WT Clinical Research Facility (CRF). The post-holder will play a key role in providing senior support to our busy research team, with direct responsibility for coordinating, monitoring and assisting with the set-up and implementation of research studies within the CRF. This will include extensive liaison with sponsors, senior clinicians, specialist support services and research teams. The post holder will be a key team leader of the NIHR / WT Clinical Research Facility data team, taking a lead role in supporting the development, set up and delivery of high quality research data within the department as well as having line management responsibilities. You will need to have a flexible/adaptable approach in order to meet various strict deadlines, excellent interpersonal skills and extensive knowledge of CRF data quality standards and processes. This role will require an individual with excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proven track record of effective time management and ability to work with minimum supervision. This role would be suitable for anyone with experience research delivery or governance.
The post holder will take a lead role in personally ensuring a high quality administrative and data service is provided to the research delivery team at all times and will undertake specific delegated tasks related to study set-up and audit of active studies.
The post-holder will play a key role in the provision of a comprehensive administrative service for the research delivery team with direct responsibility for coordinating, monitoring and assisting with the implementation of research studies. This will include liaising and working with all departments involved in providing core research services to ensure national targets are met in line with the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and relevant research networks as well as responsibility for implementing and maintaining robust data quality processes.
The post is predominantly based at the QE Hospital, but there will be a requirement to also travel to either Heartlands Hospital OR Solihull Hospital. There will be a requirement for engagement with Trust Research & Development Department, IT, Informatics, Inflammation Research Facility, Institute of Translational Medicine. Centre for Rare Diseases, Pharmacy and other Trust departments
