Band 5: £29,970 to £36,483 a year pa pro rata (plus HCAS)  FIXED TERM 
The successful applicant will be responsible for a clinical caseload providingassessment of mainstream primary pupils in schools, planning interventions, group and individual therapy to pre-school children with their parents in clinic and identifying and meeting training needs and providing specialist advice.

The post holder will achieve this by working as a member of the Speech and Language team working across a designated area. You will provide clinical input to a defined caseload of children with delays and disorders of speech, language and communication. You will also work independently on a daily basis with support from a designated supervisor i.e. Senior Therapist.


Key Responsibilities:

To manage a case load that includes providing assessment, diagnosis, therapy and advice to clients at various locations. The post holder will have access to a second opinion from more senior therapists if identified by the post holder.

To devise appropriate intervention/care plans for clients and provide suitable and timely intervention.

To provide therapy care plans to be carried out by a Speech and Language Therapy assistants while retaining overall responsibility for the clients.

To provide feedback, guidance, advice and training to parents, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team in all aspects of the development of speech, language and communication.

To provide written reports and undertake appropriate liaison with medical staff, families, voluntary organisations.

While consolidating your training and gaining experience managing a general paediatric caseload, this post offers opportunities to develop your knowledge of a wide range of specialisms such as stammering, speech disorders, AAC, selective mutism, complex needs and autism.

Based in Romford alongside colleagues in Paediatrics, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapies and CAMHS, staff benefit from established transport links from London, Essex and Kent, including the Elizabeth Line.
