Healthcare Assistant – £32-38,000 per annum + benefits

Based in Chichester, Private Medical Practice

We have an opening for an experienced and motivated Healthcare Assistant to assist our Clinical Director, along with our dermatologist and gynaecologist. You will be assisting with a broad range of daily tasks within our Private Medical and Cosmetic Practice based on the outskirts of Chichester. Permanent, full time (
part time applications will be considered
) – salary £32,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependant upon experience); pension; usual working hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm (Wednesday until 6pm); free onsite parking; 22 days annual leave plus statutory holidays.


Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities – Healthcare Assistant (reporting to the Clinical Director)


  • Assist medical doctor in all aspects of clinical procedures
  • Meeting and preparing patients, alongside general support to the clinical staff and patient aftercare
  • Taking patients’ vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight etc
  • Take bloods, phlebotomy skills
  • Experience of wound care e.g. removal of sutures
  • Maintain inventories of supplies, inform Practice Manager of stock requirements
  • Dealing with matters with tact and sensitivity, maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Delivering excellent customer service to our patients at all times
  • Working alongside the team to ensure all systems and processes are working optimally


Skills And Other Requirements – Healthcare Assistant (HCA)


  • Previous relevant HCA experience in order to deliver a first-class HCA service to the clinic and clients
  • Up to date CRB; Knowledge of CQC
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT literacy in order to update files and respond to requests for information etc
  • Superb organisational and time management skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, cheerful, can-do attitude with a high customer focus
