Job summary

To support the Safeguarding Children's team to ensure the organisation meets its safeguarding responsibilities with regard to children, young people and their families.

The post holder will work across acute services and within a multi-agency arena, providing advice and support to organisation staff on the safeguarding issues affecting the health and wellbeing of children, young people. The post holder will be required to work in partnership with other agencies providing health advice and support to multi-agency partners.

They will deliver training and participate in the delivery of safeguarding supervision under the direction of the Named and specialist nurse for safeguarding children.

They will work as part of a specialist team to support the organisation in its quality assurance role, ensuring that identified safeguarding issues are managed effectively and support is provided appropriately.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will contribute to the development and delivery of all levels of safeguarding training in the trust. They will have an expert knowledge of safeguarding children and be able to provide supervision and advice to all members of staff.
