Are you looking for a Mental Health role with a difference? Why not bring your skills into Prison healthcare?Our Mental Health Service at HMP Stoke Heath is looking for a qualified Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner (MHWP) to join its friendly and professional team, to provide evidence-based interventions and plan care for adults with severe mental health problems.
The team is innovative, forward thinking and committed to a Recovery focused approach that meets people's needs. The variety of the role will keep things fresh and stimulating and you will be part of a supportive team with effective management providing supervision and guidance.
The post holder will work alongside service users, families, carers and multi-disciplinary team members to plan care, supporting collaborative decision-making about care and treatment, and deliver a set of wellbeing-focused psychologically-informed interventions, aligned to cognitive-behavioural principles, based on the best evidence available, that address problems often experienced by people with severe mental health problems.
Working under close case management supervision from a suitably qualified professional you will provide high quality collaborative care planning as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. To work under close clinical skills supervision from an HCPC registered practitioner psychologist or BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural therapist to provide specified psychologically-informed wellbeing-focused interventions.
Inclusion, created in 2002 is part of the Specialist Services Care Group of Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT). We provide caring and effective services across England, including, West Yorkshire, West Midlands, East Midlands, West Mercia, Thames Valley, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Thurrock, Essex.
We support individuals, families and communities who are affected by addiction, crime, mental health or need treatment for their sexual health. We believe that the individuals and families who use our services should receive high quality, committed and inclusive care, realising all the benefits a modern NHS organisation can provide.
We work with patients and our staff teams to achieve the best outcomes we can. We invest heavily in training and development, and the wellbeing of our people, both staff and service users is central to who we are.
