Children's Speech & Language Therapy Assistant - Band 4 - Buy-in/Traded Service


Salary £31,£33,665 Inc HCAS

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to work in a supportive team of Speech and Language Therapists and Speech and Language Therapy Assistants.

Due to an ever-increasing demand for our buy-in services, Bromley Healthcare's Children's SLT Service is continuing to expand our fantastic and supportive team.

We can offer:

  • The opportunity to work alongside experienced speech and language therapists, delivering intervention to children and young people who have speech, language and communication needs (SLCN)
  • Internal training on a variety of clinical areas (e.g. Autism Spectrum Conditions, Developmental Language Disorder, Speech Disorders, Stammering)
  • Whole-team CPD meetings and small clinical supervision groups
  • Access to clinical specialists for specialist opinions and support
  • Admin support from our Care Co-Ordination Centre
  • Flexible working

There is a consistently high demand for our buy-in service, both from mainstream schools and within additionally resourced provisions and special schools.

Day-to-day, this role will involve screening children's communication skills and running small group and 1:1 intervention sessions to a mixed paediatric caseload with SLCN in mainstream schools as requested by the schools. This will be under the support and guidance of experienced speech and language therapists, with some joint working involved.

You will be part of a dynamic, committed team of staff delivering high-quality services to the population of Bromley. We believe in innovation and encourage staff to work in new and effective ways.
