This is an exciting opportunity for a 9 month secondment for a Band 5 Registered Nurse within our Respite and Day service for adults with a Learning Disability.

Ashby House is a Nurse led health-based respite unit for adults with a learning disability and a complex health need and/or complex behaviours.

We also provide nursing support for our health based day service, The Lodge, which is situated on the same site.

The successful applicant must be a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual, who is passionate about person centred and holistic care and contributing towards improved health outcomes for adults with a learning disability.

We would welcome applications from candidates across all branches of nursing.

We provide opportunities to develop your knowledge and skill base. We work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team and the successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the individual, their families and other professionals.

The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Ashby house and The Lodge will support the successful applicants with training for all necessary clinical procedures.

The successful applicants are expected to be a car driver due to the location and needs of the service.
