An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and person to join the Postnatal Templar Ward Team within Maternity at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as a band 3 maternity support worker.

As part of the postnatal nursery nurse team, the post holder will be supported to provide support to the midwifery and neonatal team with the care of the new-born through observation, care and assessment, with emphasis on the delivery of a high standard of care and support to mothers and their babies.

The post holder will support the maternity efforts towards UNICEF level 3 accreditation by supporting infant feeding needs, as well as positive patient experience within the service. The post holder will be required to work unsupervised in their daily duties and initiate emergency support should the mother and/or her baby’s condition require this.
