An exciting opportunity has arisen for a friendly, enthusiastic, confident Dietitian to become part of the Community Dietetic Team delivering community healthcare within the West Lancashire All Age Eating Disorder Service.

As we are keen to appoint the correct practitioner with enthusiasm for working within Eating disorders a band 6 preceptorship would be considered for the right candidate. The permanent post will be based at Ormskirk district general Hospital, Ormskirk. But flexibility to work and travel around the area is required.

We offer a mentoring and clinical supervision programme with an experienced clinician for those new to community work.

Your role will involve the assessment and implementation of care plans for patients mainly within an outpatient clinical setting however you may occasionally be required to work within in their own home, care homes and other community locations including community hospitals.

Assist in the training of health care professionals and carers and maintenance of IT systems that support patient care.

Offering expert knowledge to a Multi Disciplinary Team.

The department has excellent IT facilities with good clerical support across the West locality.

The West and our surrounding areas have good motorway and train links to Lancashire including the city of Preston

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
