We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated healthcare support worker with an interest in paediatrics to join our forward thinking and friendly Childrens Allergy department. This post will be based at St Marys Hospital, to support the clinical delivery of the Food Allergy service.

You will have the opportunity to work as part of the Childrens Allergy team.

You will be required to have excellent communication, administrative, organisational and interpersonal skills to support the departments paediatric allergy service.

The role of the healthcare support worker will work as part of the Childrens Allergy team providing care to children and families and carers with allergic conditions. This will include clinical duties, administrative support and preparation of foods as part of our oral food challenge service. The duties will be supervised by a qualified member of the team.

- Oral food challenge, supervised feed and low risk drug challenges assess patients fit for procedure, monitoring during and following procedure including providing discharge information

- Weigh, measure and prepare doses of foods for oral food challenge and skin prick tests

- Venepuncture and phlebotomy
