About The Role


Randstad Education is seeking caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to work within our partner nurseries and schools across Peacehaven. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young childrens early learning and development, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the day:to:day activities in the nursery, including play, learning, and meal times.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that promote childrens physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well:being of all children in your care.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their confidence and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with nursery staff and teachers to maintain a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Assist with the preparation and tidying of the nursery or classroom, ensuring a clean and organised space.
  • Observe and monitor childrens progress, contributing to records and reports as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on their childs development and well:being.


Requirements


  • Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
  • A caring, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting childrens development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is advantageous.
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (such as NVQ Level 2 or 3) are beneficial but not essential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
