Lakenheath Surgery is a small, friendly, semi-rural, part dispensing, effective and well-organised GMS practice with currently 5500 registered patients.
We are now looking to recruit a salaried GP for 4 to 6 sessions per week, with a view to offering a future partnership. We can discuss at interview our competitive salary and extremely flexible working pattern, to meet our needs and your requirements.
The successful candidate will be supported by a multidisciplinary team including paramedic, practice nurses, HCA, social prescribers, health and wellbeing coach, first contact MSK physiotherapist, virtual pharmacists and a clinical pharmacist as well as highly trained dispensing and administration staff.
There is an empathetic management style described as GP traditional, non-hierarchical, informal, flexible and functional with a strong sense of community, and it is very important to the partners that this is maintained and developed. Whilst being clinically driven, the practice also performs well financially and presents as a strongly democratic, happy and balanced team with good communication between the clinical team, partners and administration teams.
We have recently transitioned to a triage system that is designed to enable GPs to have improved oversight of both acute and routine appointments. Home visits are very few and as a small practice we know our patients very well and continue to provide a caring service based on continuity of care.
