The role of Modern Matron at Central London Community Health Trust in Watford involves leading and supporting high-quality integrated multi-disciplinary in-patient care and rehabilitation services for Hertfordshire residents. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Clinical Service Manager, Clinical Lead Therapists, and Ward Managers, to enhance services at two rehabilitation units: Midway and Holywell. Key responsibilities include ensuring the delivery of quality care, monitoring standards, promoting best practices related to infection prevention, and fostering continuous quality improvement and professional development among staff.

The Modern Matron will also be accountable for effective nursing leadership and resource management, contributing to key performance indicators and strategic activities. This position is integral to shaping the patient and family experience while maintaining a clean and safe environment in compliance with Trust policies and guidelines. The post-holder will oversee the Nursing Ward Manager and support the overall management and leadership of bedded rehabilitation services.
