The National Lottery Community Fund has invested over £21 million, adding to the £55 million of Government funding, extending the length of the programme to help local partnerships develop longer term and more effective support for those in need.
The fund is for local organisations to work in partnership to better support those who experience multiple disadvantage, including homelessness, substance misuse, mental health issues, domestic abuse, and contact with the criminal justice system.

We aim to create an environment where individuals experiencing multiple disadvantage can receive flexible, trauma informed, person-centred support when they need it, leading to increased periods of stability and more opportunities to make positive changes in their lives.
People in this situation are among the most vulnerable in our communities, often with past experiences of trauma. Getting coordinated support from local services can be difficult, and this can lead to greater risk of homelessness, ill health, and increased contact with the criminal justice system. This in turn can result in greater pressures on services that respond to crises such as A&E, policing, and homelessness services.
You will work to an assertive community team model by taking collective responsibility for clients worked with by the team, leading with individual clients and supporting colleagues in their work with individual clients.
Your role will be to draw from your own lived experience to support Service Users to engage with the Multi-Disciplinary Changing Futures Team and wider community-based projects. You will work with single people who are at risk of, or have a history of, experiencing homelessness and/or rough sleeping and have been identified as meeting the Changing Futures criteria as a person experiencing Multiple and Compound Needs (known as the client group) in various settings, including on the street supporting local outreach work.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.
You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives.
We can offer flexibility to meet individuals’ personal circumstances. Our values are to be compassionate, open and bold. If this sounds like you we’d love to hear from you so click apply.
