The Lincolnshire Community Health Service NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join their Adult Speech and Language Therapy team. This position is part-time, requiring a minimum of three days a week in the community team, with the option to work additional days in the ICU team at Lincoln County Hospital and Pilgrim Hospital in Boston. The role involves providing assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions for adult patients with various speech and language challenges, including swallowing difficulties and communication issues. The therapist will also supervise a small team of Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists and Assistants.

The community team operates throughout Lincolnshire in diverse locations such as health centers, outpatient clinics, and patient homes, catering to a wide range of conditions. The critical care aspect of the role focuses on communication and swallowing support for patients in intensive care situations, including those who are intubated or have undergone surgery. The base for this role will be located at the Louth Outpatients clinic, with the start date projected for June 2025.
