The Stroke Staff Nurse position at Beech Ward, Norwich Community Hospital, involves providing specialized rehabilitation care for patients recovering from strokes. Nurses will work within a multidisciplinary team to manage a diverse caseload, ensuring high standards of care from admission to discharge. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized rehabilitation plans, administering clinical interventions, and participating in multi-disciplinary meetings. Staff will also have opportunities for skill development in areas such as catheterisation and ECG recording, and will be expected to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

This full-time role includes rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, and offers a structured induction and progression towards a shift coordinator position. Nurses are required to adhere to professional standards and clinical guidelines specific to stroke care while providing emotional and practical support to patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process.
