Support students at the University of Sunderland as an Academic Support Worker for Randstad Education, providing specialist note‑taking for learners with disabilities and mental health conditions. You will attend lectures, seminars and group sessions to produce clear, accurate and legible notes, review them afterwards to ensure accessibility, and keep professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times. This temporary, part‑time role offers flexible hours, multiple shifts to suit your availability, pay from around £12–£13 per hour (plus holiday pay pro rata), access to e‑learning and CPD, a dedicated consultant and valuable exposure to higher education settings.
This role is ideal for reliable, organised people—particularly women who balance caring responsibilities—who have good typing speed, strong spelling and grammar, attention to detail and the ability to work kindly and cohesively with students. Knowledge of barriers faced by disabled people is desirable but not essential. Successful candidates will complete an interview and an assessment.
