PERMANENT
Job description
Support patient care behind the scenes as an Admin Assistant (Radiology) with Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BD9) with regular rotation to St Luke’s and Eccleshill Community Diagnostic Centre. This permanent, full-time Band 2 role (pro rata salary £24,465) provides essential reception, clerical and administrative cover across the Imaging Directorate: answering and triaging telephone enquiries, booking and managing patient appointments, registering referral data onto electronic systems, carrying out first-line vetting of referral information, sorting post and handling emails and deliveries. The service operates Monday–Sunday 08:00–20:00, so the post is rotational and will include weekend and evening shifts as required—offering variety and a hands-on, people-facing day-to-day role within a busy NHS environment.
This opportunity is well suited to organised, caring people—especially those with previous admin or reception experience, carers looking for stable NHS work, and women seeking a meaningful role in healthcare. A GCSE pass in English is essential; NVQ Level 2 in Business and Admin and experience with data entry are desirable. You will work alongside radiographers, radiologists and nursing staff within a supportive team guided by the Trust’s People Charter and benefit from team meetings and individual appraisals. A DBS check will be required and a clear understanding of information governance and confidentiality is important.
