PERMANENT
Job description
Support the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Imaging Directorate as an Admin Assistant (Radiology), providing reception, clerical and administrative cover across Bradford Royal Infirmary (including Maternity and Medical Physics), St Luke’s and Eccleshill Community Diagnostic Centre. This rotational post helps run a busy patient-facing service operating Monday–Sunday, 08:00–20:00, so you will answer calls, make and manage appointments, register and vet referral data accurately on an electronic patient management system, liaise with patients, clinicians and GP surgeries, and handle post, emails and deliveries. You’ll be part of a friendly admin team of around 40 staff working alongside radiologists, radiographers, nurses and sonographers; the role requires sensitivity around confidentiality and a Disclosure and Barring Service check will be needed.
This permanent, full-time Band 2 role (salary £24,465 pro rata) suits organised, caring people — especially women and those with existing caring responsibilities who value a supportive workplace and meaningful patient contact. Essential requirements include a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) and good IT/data-entry skills; reception or NHS admin experience and an NVQ in Business & Admin are desirable. The trust’s People Charter underpins a respectful, team-focused culture and there’s scope to develop your administrative skills across different sites and shifts.
