PERMANENT
Job description
Support local sexual health services across Bedfordshire as an Administration Assistant based at iCaSH Grove View, Dunstable (LU5), providing front-of-house, call-taking and appointment-booking cover for clinics (Saturday cover at Kings Brook on rota). This permanent, part-time role (22.5 hours per week; Monday 12:00–20:00, Wednesday 09:00–18:00, Thursday 09:00–16:00, plus a Saturday 09:00–13:00 on rotation with a half day off in that week) is Band 2, salary £24,465 pa pro rata. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, handling telephone, online and messaging bookings, updating electronic and paper records, scanning clinic correspondence, managing mail and stock ordering, and providing admin support to clinical and non-clinical teams. The role demands excellent organisation, warm customer service, confidentiality and basic IT skills; GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent), a DBS check and willingness to undertake mandatory training are required. NHS or clinical admin experience is useful but not essential — initiative, calm prioritisation and empathy for vulnerable people are what make someone thrive here.
