Band 3: £24,071 to £25,674 a year pro/rata  FIXEDTERM 

This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that the salary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75%max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.

The Safeguarding Team at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to a recruit a enthusiastic and hard working administrative support officer.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to assist the safeguarding team with their general administrative activities. The post holder must require excellent communication skills, work well within a busy team whilst ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential requirements alongside the ability to multitask in an ever changing busy environment.

This role is hospital based and would suit someone who is well organised, confident in prioritising tasks and their own workload. Competence in using Excel, Word and Outlook are essential, knowledge of hospital systems would be beneficial but not essential as training can be provided.

The Team deals with sensitive and highly confidential safeguarding issues and communication regarding both Adults and Children the post holder will also be dealing with urgent telephone calls of the same manner, the postholder will be require to prioritise and escalate as appropriate.

The postholder will assist and support the safeguarding team with daily activities including :

Provide a high standard of efficient and effective administrative support to the Safeguarding Team.

Undertake any duties associated with organising meetings and training including booking of venues, co ordinating diaries for availability for meetings.

Taking and producing formal minutes and agendas of meeting and arranging dissemination across the Trust including board level.

Assist in the collection and collation of information for audit purposes.

Responding to telephone enquiries and directing them to the appropriate practitioner.

Co ordinating emails and responding where applicable.

Data collection and information sharing for audit and CQC purposes.

Supporting and preparing information for reports.

Producing accurate and concise minutes for safeguarding meetings.

Undertake searches on electronic patient records for data to support the safeguarding team attendance at monthly MARAC meetings.

Circulate information within the trust in relation to missing children and families.
