Play a central administrative role at the Rosewood Mother and Baby Unit in Dartford, supporting a busy ward-based team Monday to Friday. As a Band 3 Administrator you’ll handle reception duties, answer the ward phone and a generic inbox, organise diaries and meetings, prepare correspondence, and maintain efficient working systems that keep care running smoothly. This front-line post involves regular contact with service users, carers, colleagues and external stakeholders, and requires vigilance around safeguarding, GDPR and Trust policies. The role is full-time, fixed-term for 12 months, and pays £26,240–£27,928 (inclusive of the High Cost Area allowance — an extra monthly payment equivalent to 5% of basic salary subject to set minimum and maximum amounts).

This opportunity is currently open to internal applicants only (including NHSP and agency staff on placement, and staff substantively employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway ICB); priority will be given to those at risk of redundancy who meet the essential criteria. If you have NVQ3/RSA3 (or equivalent), GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent), at least two years’ administrative or customer-facing experience, good Microsoft skills and attention to detail, you’ll fit the role — RiO experience is desirable and a DBS check is required. Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is rated ‘Good’ by the CQC and offers a values-driven environment where your administrative skills make a real difference to mothers, babies and families.
