Support safe, timely care by coordinating ophthalmology admissions at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, based at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup (DA14 6LT). As Admissions Officer you will manage waiting lists and the Patient Tracking List, book and amend admissions and pre‑assessments using EPIC, monitor 18‑week RTT and 2WW pathways and liaise with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure appointments meet clinical need. You will maintain accurate patient records and demographics, identify and respond to patient needs such as language support, anxiety or carer responsibilities, arrange diagnostics, support the Ophthalmology Community Post‑op scheme and help resolve complaints while suggesting pathway improvements. This permanent, full‑time Band 3 role pays £29,651–£31,312 (including High Cost Area), is subject to a DBS check, and applications needing Skilled Worker sponsorship will be considered.

This position suits someone with proven administrative experience, GCSEs (A–C) in Maths and English or equivalent, strong IT skills (email and Microsoft Office), an effective, courteous telephone manner and the ability to prioritise and stay organised in a busy, interruptible environment. Previous healthcare or ophthalmology admin experience and EPIC/work‑queue familiarity are desirable but not essential — there is real scope for development in a supportive team within one of the UK’s largest teaching Trusts, which values sustainability and inclusive practice.
