Job summary
We are looking for keen and motivated advanced healthcare assistants to join our expanding dynamic team within the Endoscopy service.This is an exciting and developing role involving assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, supporting in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures and investigations.Endoscopy is a seven-day service and supports patients requiring an emergency endoscopy through our out-of-hours on-call service.
Experience
in endoscopy is desirable but not essential.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside members of the multi-disciplinary team to support therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy procedures, patient admissions and recovery areas.The candidate will undertake a six-month supported training programme to develop the required clinical skills and skills within decontamination of flexible endoscopes.Participate once trained in the out-of-hours emergency gastrointestinal on-call roster.
