This fixed-term post (maternity cover until 15 March 2026) is for an Advanced Physiotherapist within the Burns, Plastics and Head & Neck team at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust in East Grinstead. The part-time role (salary £47,810–£54,710 per annum pro rata) delivers advanced clinical assessment and treatment for adult patients across acute, rehabilitation and outpatient burns services, major head and neck post‑operative and tracheostomy management, and rehabilitation after breast and reconstructive plastic surgery. You will work day-to-day in established MDTs alongside occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, dietitians, nursing staff, psychological therapists and surgical teams, with direct peer support from two other Band 7s and the Therapy Services Manager. Clinical governance, service development and contributions to in-house training are integral to the post, so excellent clinical skills, initiative and a commitment to high standards of care are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for physiotherapists who want a hands-on clinical role combined with leadership responsibilities. As joint team lead you’ll mentor and train less experienced therapists and students, complete PDRs, support staff development, and take a role in recruitment and workforce planning while helping shape service developments to meet an evolving caseload. QVH is a specialist NHS hospital rated Good with outstanding care, committed to staff development and equality of opportunity — an environment that particularly suits women and carers seeking flexible, supportive work with clear development pathways.
