Job description
As an Advanced Practitioner – Children in Care Permanence based in Northampton, you will lead practice to secure adoption and other long‑term plans for looked after children. You will supervise Family Support Workers, provide case supervision and advice to Social Workers, organise reflective group supervisions and hold a small, complex caseload of high‑risk children and young people. The post requires regular collaborative work with families and partner agencies and involves travel across the county (and occasionally beyond) to support placements and permanence planning. This is a permanent, full‑time role with a salary of £48,856 to £50,997 per year.
You will be an experienced Social Worker with a recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England, confident in child protection, care proceedings and the preparation of Child Permanence Reports (CPRs), Annex A reports and life‑story work.
