Take up a senior clinical and leadership post as Advanced Specialist Echocardiographer at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Homerton Row, London E9). This 12‑month, full‑time fixed‑term role (Band 8a, £64,156–£71,148 p.a. plus a 15% retention premium subject to annual review) asks an experienced Band 7 cardiac physiologist to deliver highly specialist echocardiography services — adult transthoracic, 3D and contrast studies, supporting stress and transoesophageal examinations — with independent measurement, interpretation and reporting to a high professional standard. You will deputise for the Senior Chief Cardiac Physiologist, help organise day‑to‑day diagnostic services, lead quality audits, manage and appraise junior staff, and act as a trainer and mentor. Essential requirements include a BSc in Cardiac Physiology (or equivalent), RCCP registration and BSE accreditation; the post is subject to DBS checks, requires current UK professional registration and may involve work at other Trust sites. Applications from those needing Skilled Worker sponsorship will be considered. Closing date: 13 October 2025.

Homerton is an “Outstanding” CQC‑rated Trust serving Hackney and East London, with a strong record of staff support and development — regular protected CPD time each week, recognised benefits and inclusion in HSJ & Nursing Times Best Places to Work. This opportunity suits clinicians who want hands‑on echo practice coupled with visible leadership and mentoring responsibilities, and will particularly appeal to women clinicians and carers seeking a supportive, career‑focused employer that values work–life balance and staff development.
