This Assistant Healthcare Scientist (Band 2) role is based at Kent and Canterbury Hospital (KCH) in Canterbury and is only open to staff already working within the Kent and Medway Pathology Network (KMPN). It is a permanent post offering 37.5 hours per week (full-time) with flexible and part‑time options considered, salary £24,465 per annum. You will be working in a UKAS‑accredited, HTA‑licensed and IBMS training laboratory, handling specimen reception and sorting, data entry, reagent preparation, temperature monitoring, routine equipment maintenance, stock control and day‑to‑day support for Biomedical Scientist teams. The post requires good keyboard skills, accuracy, strong customer care and teamwork, GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths and Science, and a flexible approach to a seven‑day working pattern that includes weekends, nights and bank holidays.
