Assistant Psychologist - HMP Whitemoor

Main duties of the job
The role will be to support our clinical psychologist in the care of clients and to deliver psychological therapies. You will also work closely with Mental health Practitioners and the wider healthcare in delivering trauma informed service.
As part of the Stepped care model as an Assistant psychologist you would be able to work with clients with low level mental health needs using basic counselling, anxiety management and depression and anxiety. You will provide psychological assessment, formulations, and interventions under the regular clinical supervision of a qualified psychologist. Part of your role will be to deliver structured interventions that you are trained in depending on the clients need.
There will be an expectation to partake in service development, audits and data collection on a regular basis.
HMP Whitemoor is a male category A prison located near a picturesque nature reserve in the fenland town of March. HMP Whitemoor benefits from on site parking and access to gym facilities.
