Job description
We are seeking two enthusiastic Assistant Psychologists to join the Clinical Psychology team working with people with intellectual disabilities.
Nottinghamshire Healthcare provides integrated healthcare services, including mental health, learning disability and physical health services, employing over 8800 staff over a large number of sites. The Clinical Psychology Service to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities employs staff across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. They provide a highly specialist, research-informed and research-active service.
These posts will support clinical psychologists to screen and assess referrals, complete assessments and interventions with a range of clients, staff and carers in the community. It requires liaison with formal and informal carers and working with multi-disciplinary colleagues. There may also be opportunities to contribute to auditor service evaluation.
You must have already obtained a UK university honours degree in psychology graded at 2:1 or 1st or an equivalent qualification conferring the BPS approved graduate basis for Chartered Membership.

To support and carry out a range of psychometric and other assessments with people who have an intellectual or developmental disability (e.g. autism). These may include interviews, questionnaires, and intellectual and executive skills assessments.
To support and carry out defined therapeutic interventions with people with intellectual disabilities.
To support interventions with staff teams, such as consultancy, training, identifying resources, multi-disciplinary working, signposting staff to appropriate services and service promotion.
To support data collection and analysis, for both clinical and service evaluation, as required. This may include collecting and reviewing a variety of data such as psychometric scores, interview data, historical information, literature searches. It may also involve data analysis and report writing under supervision.
